This was our family’s first time staying in North Myrtle Beach, and overall we had a really nice trip. The condo itself is in a great location, and we were very happy with the size and furnishings—it’s a comfortable, well-laid-out space. That said, there were a few things that felt a bit disconnected from the overall experience. I’ve rented vacation homes and condos more than two dozen times, and it stood out as unusual that we were required to go to a rental office to pick up keys and paperwork, especially since the unit uses keyless entry. With all of the pre-arrival texts, emails, and logins already required, it seems like this extra step could easily be streamlined or eliminated. Inside the condo, a few basic items were missing that we typically expect in rentals. There was no dish soap or dish towels, and no bath mat for stepping out of the shower. The sheets also felt quite thin and could use an upgrade for comfort. Additionally, there were no small touches like books, board games, or even a deck of cards, which can make downtime more enjoyable—especially for families. The kitchen was very minimally stocked—not even salt and pepper—which we found a bit surprising, even though we didn’t plan to cook much. Lastly, the owner’s closet was unlocked during our stay, which may just need a quick check prior to peak season. None of these issues ruined our trip, but addressing them would really elevate the guest experience and better align with what many travelers have come to expect from vacation rentals. I rented South Hampton 203 for the month of January 2025. It is a lovely condo. One can tell it is a much loved and maintained condo. it is clean with nice furniture. The furniture is in good condition and the bed is comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with what is needed to cook plus the dishes, cookware and utensils are in good condition.
The furniture, the dishes and the decor are lovely.
The location is great. There is not a charge for parking. I would rent this condo again.
